Meridian’s schools
offer a small 14 to 1 student to teacher ratio and Meridian
Elementary is a Blue Ribbon School and is currently a Texas
Recognized District. The district employs 75 staff members and is
governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees that takes pride in
being part of the team composed of staff, students, parents and
community members working toward student success.
Medical care is
available from a staff of physicians at the Goodall-Witcher clinic and hospital 12 miles away in Clifton plus major medical
facilities less than 50 miles away in Waco. Meridian Manor
Retirement and Nursing Center offers an excellent value in
affordable retirement housing, while Meridian Manor Nursing Center
draws residents from near and far with its state of the art dementia
center, McMahon Lodge. Bosque County Senior Services is active in
Meridian and offers many different services including meals on
wheels, transportation services and support service.
