 Bosque County Senior Services officer offer many services to our area senior citizens.  The Meridian Senior Center located at 201 N. Main, Meridian, Texas, is open Monday through Friday (except for 10 approved Holidays each year).  The center is open at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 1:30 p.m.  Meals are a focal point in our society and many seniors need a balanced meal.   There is a meal that is served at noon each day.  The Meals on Wheels program is also operated from the center.  The meals are delivered by dedicated and caring volunteers to those seniors that may be homebound.  $1.75 is the suggested donation for the meal for people age 60 and over.

 Seniors also need social interaction.  Dominoes and other games are going on at the center in the mornings.  Stop by and visit with friends over a cup of coffee and find out the many services that are offered to our local senior citizens.

Bosque County Transit

 Bosque County Transit offers transportation services aboard the many vans and small buses that are operated through Bosque County and the State of Texas Department of Aging.  Transportation services are available for traveling to Clifton, Waco and Temple for doctor’s appointments.  They also provide various stops in Meridian to the grocery store and pharmacy.  The Transit also provides transportation to Waco several times a week for dialysis patients.
