The Assistant
City Secretary assists all of the departments of the City.

Prepares the utility billing
and collects receivables

Issues building permits and
schedules inspections

Takes applications for Planning
& Zoning changes, publishes notices and schedules
hearings
-
Receives code violation
complaints, schedules inspection of the properties and
sends out notices of violations.

Issues vendor’s permits
-
Rental of the Meridian Civic
Center and Senior Center
-
Answers the telephone and
assists customers
-
Notary Public
-
Provides executive support to
the City Administrator and City Secretary as well as the
Mayor, City Council and City Departments.
