City ordinances shall not allow rubbish, brush or any other unsightly, objectionable or unsanitary matter to grow or accumulate on any lot within the municipality.

Junk Debris (Trash, Refuse, or Brush)

The City provides two free dumps per year of junk at the city’s roll-off dumpster at the Bosque County Recycling Center with a permit issued by the City with proof of water bill.  Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday.

Trash collection for residential property is on Thursday each week.  Contact city hall (254) 435-2381.  All trash must be bagged and set by the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled day of pickup.  Do not set trash out in advance and all trash receptacles must be removed by 6:00 p.m. the following day.  Loose brush and limbs must be cut to no more than 4 foot lengths and tied with a twine or rope and set out with normal trash.  Loose brush or unbundled limbs will not be picked up by the contracted trash company.

Junk Vehicles
The city ordinances do not allow any person to cause or maintain such public nuisance by wrecking, dismantling, partially dismantling, rendering inoperable, abandoning, or discarding any motor vehicle on the real property of another or upon his or her own property.  The vehicle may not be visible anywhere in the public view, public right of way, street or any other private property.  Junk vehicles must be removed from the property or screened within an enclosed garage or privacy fence.
