Driver Safety Course information is provided here for
your information.
**If you are speeding 25 or more miles over the
posted speed limit in a regular zone or 15 or more miles over in a
school zone you are NOT eligible to request driver's Safety by mail,
you will be required to speak with the Judge during docket call**
**If you have a CDL License, you are NOT eligible for
defensive driving**
In order to request a driving safety course you must
submit the following to the court on or before your appearance
date:
(1) $107.00
Court Cost Fee or
$132.00
Court Cost Fee for offenses occurring in a School
Zone
(2) A valid copy of your Texas Drivers License.
(3) A valid copy of your liability insurance card.
(4) Completed driving safety request located under
Municipal Court
You will still be required to pay the cost of the
class and the cost of obtaining your driving record from the State
of Texas. You will also be required to return all of these items to
the Court with an affidavit stating you have not completed a
defensive driving course during the previous 12 months.
