Visiting Meridian

In addition to the historical aspects of Meridian, the city also offers recreation both indoors and out. Meridian State Park is only two miles outside city limits complete with walking trails, bird watching, fishing, camping and so much more.

Each year the community hosts several exciting events. With the new amphitheater, folks can now expect even more to see and do. The annual BBQ cook-off draws thousands from around the country and this year even more reasons to visit have been added. Look out for the first annual Chili Cook-Off, movie nights, live music, and even a new disc golf course on the way to completion.
